Be sure audio is recorded and leveled properly. Pay attention to your surroundings and listen carefully for background noise that could affect the quality of the recording. If background noise during an interview interrupts the answer to a question, ask it again to get a clean recording.

Always use a professional voice-over artist. They should sound relaxed and natural, not like an announcer, a booming radio voice, or a sales person.

Include music in every video. Choose a track that enhances the mood of the piece—music can be used to inspire, energize, or calm the viewer.

Music should be ambient and not overpower the video.

A video series may have a standard track for you to use. For most other videos, we encourage commissioning or writing original music. When that’s not an option, use music from our music library or royalty-free stock music.
